Sedona Dance Project is thrilled to offer their first full evening of concert dance, Saturday 7:00 pm, May 13 at the Hub Black Box Theater at Posse Grounds Sedona. Showcasing 6 pieces from their repertoire, choreographed by Artistic Director Danielle McNeal (premiering 5 works) “Thread that Binds Souls” a new multigenerational piece. “Black Widow” a haunting solo performed by Jessica Phillips. “Out of the Shadows” uplifting and playful piece showcasing the dancers in a new light. “Muse of Light” featuring the poetry and altar artwork of Sabina Malinalli. “Dance with Me” an energetic Afro-Caribbean style dance bringing community together.

Sedona Dance Project is honored to host guest dance artists Desert Dance Theatre, Damiyr Shuford, and Sorelle Cunliffe. DDT will perform a rhythmical duet featuring Lisa Chow and Step Raptis and a heartfelt solo performed by Ignacio Jara. Damiyr Shuford will perform a powerful solo to his original song “Human”. Sorelle Cunliffe will be premiering a spellbinding contemporary solo. We are happy to feature advanced student dancer Sophia Wolf (Sedona Dance Academy) performing a ballet variation choreographed by Jessica Phillips.
